First, based in great part on your comments, suggestions and inputs, we have made several changes this past year:</font></p><p align="left"><font face="Arial">Curr</font><font face="Arial">iculum redesign: The "</font><font face="Arial">integrated"</font><font face="Arial"> curriculum has been replaced with a sequence of 3-unit core courses and 24 units of electives, offering students greater flexibility to tailor their coursework to their career interests/needs. We now also offer concentra</font><font face="Arial">t</font><font face="Arial">ions in Finance, Marketing and China Business. Professors Joseph Cheng, Leo Sin, and Lu Yuan, respectively, have agreed to serve as concentration coordinators and to drive these areas of study forward.</font></p><p align="left"><font face="Arial">Staffing changes: Mr. Lawrence Chan, a CUMBA alumnus</font><font face="Arial"> with extensive experience in marketing and promotion has joined us as Director for Marketing and Student Recruiting (please see attached bio). Lawrence is joined by Miss Ocean Chan, who takes up the post of Marketing and Student Recruiting Executive. Law</font><font face="Arial">r</font><font face="Arial">ence and Ocean will lead brand-building and promotion activities and enhance student recruiting activities.</font></p><p align="left"><font face="Arial">Ms. Marjorie Chang, who has extensive HR experience in recruiting and placement functions, and in career planning and counseling has recently joine</font><font face="Arial">d us as Director for Career Services (please see attached bio). Marjorie is joined by Miss Rosa Lam, who takes up the post of Career Services Executive. Marjorie and Rosa, along with Ms. Leeann Kee,</font><br /> <font face="Arial" color="#000000">Students Services & Career Services Executive,</font><br /> <font face="Arial">will lead</font><br /> <font face="Arial">a new Career Development Programme, developed by Ms. Marjorie Chang, which will provide an integrated approach to career developement and management. </font></p><p align="left"><font face="Arial"> rogram development: We have developed several new program offerings pending final university approval,</font><br /> <font face="Arial">including dual-degree programs between MBA and business faculty programs, other faculties within CUHK, and other universities. These programs will be formally announced in the near future and I will provide you an update shortly.</font></p><p align="left"><font face="Arial">Networking even</font><font face="Arial">ts: We have also created new opportunities for networking among FT, PT, EMBA and alumni. As you may know, CEO talks have been enriched by moving the venue to Town Centre and the addition of a reception before the talks to allow networking opportunities. Y</font><font face="Arial">o</font><font face="Arial">u are most welcome to attend and we look forward to welcoming you to these activities. We will also be holding several events in the Mainland prior to the planned opening of offices in Beijing this academic year and Shanghai the next. Professor Larry Lang</font><font face="Arial"></font><br /> <font face="Arial">will give a talk in Shanghai on Nov 12, followed by a reception and alumni dinner. Again, you are most welcome to attend.</font></p><p align="left"><font face="Arial">Finally, as you may know, for better or worse I have taken up the role of associate dean and MBA programme director.
