To northeuro or other Dukies,

Do you guys mind sharing a little about Duke interview style or the frequently asked questions? I have checked the application guide but didn't find specific information about Duke.

大学：广东商学院  市场营销   GPA 3.0; 学术方面曾经获得挑战杯国家铜奖；

04年毕业至今一直在国内著名家电企业做销售管理工作，前两年做业务主管、区域经理，去年开始外派越南，任分公司经理至今。同时发展oem业务及推广品牌。

能用英语与老外简单沟通及应付日常的交往、沟通业务工作。

希望09年秋季入学。想读商务或者管理类专业，如果英语成绩理想，能申请到TOP10的学校么？

期待大家的指点！！不胜感激

请问Duke的essay没规定字数,那么应该写多少啊?

It's really hard to conclude one style for interviews with either alumni, admission officers or 2nd year students. Just be yourself and practice to tell your story in a sincere and convincing etique, that would be fine. Of course, you should well-prepared for teamwork and leadership stories, which Duke emphasizes much.

Your background surely is very good! General management, especially marketing, is Duke's strength.  I do encourage you to explore more on Duke websites and CD to learn more about Duke, and work hard on your self-reflection to shine yourself in essays. Good luck!

For the short essays, given the page and line space limitation, you can figure out how many words you can write with. But you can amend the margin to have some more space.

For the long essays, there is kind reimnd on web page. So try your best to not pass this line.  "Applicants typically use between 500 and 750 words for long essays one and two. "

Northeuro helped answer a lot of questions,

打算11月底和12月初花两周的时间去美国school visit。现在看起来是11/29日（周四）或11/30((周五) 到Duke. 向Duke的学长请教两个问题：

- school interview该不该做？子溪说Duke off-campus interview机会也大把，不像Kellogg，on-campus做比较有优势。请指教。

- 我8:20am到RDU，想约10:30am的class visit，但是要求提前半小时即10:00am到学校。请问从机场到学校来的及么?我不会开车.估计计程车吧.

- 我的下一站是去Wharton,但Wharton周五没课,学长是否推荐参加Super Sat.的活动.如果参加需要一天么?
