So the yield ratio reflects the tough competition among bschools for the right applicants. Considering the multiple applications by applicant, some of the admissions offers are useless.

M7 enjoy ratios over 50%, while the rest of top 20 stand lower rates around 1/3. Does that means the opportunities for the waitlisted and the applicants in the final round?

In terms of the yield ratio, a competitive measure, Ross appears to rank higher than Duke, at least from the admitted applicants' perspective.

There are no info on yields rate of other schools in the post, just some follow up discussion. You might need to register on BW forum to get access to the post named as "Top 15 B-School Yields".

Thanks. Find some interesting phenominen, some low-ranked schools enjoy better yield ratio while the selectivity is relative high and stable. That means those schools have very stable applicant pool and the applicants do not target higher-ranked schools.

Then what is the relationship of admission or WL and yield rate and acceptance rate?  Does schools send out admissions more than the seats they have according to yield rate and acceptance rate?  For example, Stanford has 360 seats but they send out 437 admissions according to 83% yield rate.  Or they send exactly admissions to match with the seats they have and give out WLs according to yield rate and acceptance rate?  For example, Stanford this year has 360 seats, then they sent out 360 admissions and 61 WLs according to 83% yield rate?

I'm a Stanford WL and thanks for help!

Basically, that is something interesting to figure out here. I believe they put some people on waitlist, keeping the yield in their back head. In fact, they should put more than the number worked out by the formula (those coming from waitlist may apply the yield ratio).

Giving applications by round, the waitlist should not that big enough. I believe the wl are put into later rounds for deciding the admissions; and the last round applicants may have some advantage from this perspective.

That is my guess...
