You don't have to think too much about "who are you now" but try to focus more on "what do you want". For Darden, it has very strong general management education. High repution in MC and IB industry, though it might be not easy for Chinese student to get a IB job. But if you wanna be a CEO and/or in MC, or entrepreneur, Darden is the school for you.

About selecting school, some schools (not Darden) are more concervtive, that means they would try to recurit most of Chinese students from Consulting/Auditing industries, or recurit from US directly, since these applicants has better chance to land a job in US. Be sure that you understand this before you apply.

Hey, I feel interesting about your success. You must be very diligent so you get into Darden.

I'm also a engineer now, not high-tech but testing various electronic devices according to relevant IEC standards. Do you know any other B-shchool suit an engineer? Thx for your consideration.

Your background still belongs to high-tech sector in B-schools. MIT, Standford,U Michigan, Carnegie Mellon, U Texas and UMaryland are well known to recruit many students from tech background.

So no problem with your background, but you got to make yourself stand out from lots of engineers by presenting your leadership, team spirit, and career success in your essays and strong personal skills during interviews. And no excuse for a low GMAT (especially in math section) for an engineer, cause people suppose you are a smart problem solver.

What about Kellogg's MMM? Someone also tell me it suits an engineer applicant.

BTW, I will prepare well before I take the GMAT, but my GPA was just 3.0. Does low GPA affect my application to top B-school?

Do not know much about Kellogg MMM? are you only interested in manufacturing? I still believe an MBA can provide you a well-rounded business education and benefit your career in long term.

Low GPA is negative for sure, but try to emphasize your activities in college and professional success after college, and prepare an explaination during the interview if asked.

Thx! Since yesterday is passed, thinking too much about GPA is useless. I will cherish my today and be ready for the realization of dream tommorow
