Do ibanks recruit at darden for their hong kong office or asian offices in general?  How is darden's presence in HK banking sector?  I will attend darden this fall.  Your response is much appreciated. 

Investment banks on the Wall street come to recruit at Darden every year and give decent number of offers. To be honest, it is not easy to get in IBs in HK from Darden, they do offer interview spots to Darden students though.

Hi Dardeners, I am a phd student in bio major (now in US) and I want to apply for B-School this year (graduating next year). I do not have full time working experience. I wonder if Darden will consider someone without previous working experience, but with strong academic record and high GMAT score, and with decent extracurriculum experience (volunteer experience in NGO). It is said in the web site that W/E is not required but 100% of the class of 2010 had full time working experience.

I understand that different schools weigh differently on W/E, If you think Darden is not a good option for me, could you please recommend some other schools? Thanks a lot!

Darden is a general management school, so working experience in diversified industries is highly appreciated. PhD research experience could still be valuable, but real working experience would be preferred. You may want to try Standford and MIT, both schools would admit a small number of fresh college and PhD graduates.

For Darden2009, we only have 3 fresh undergraduate graduates, one from Germany, two from the US.
But, admission is basically case by case. The result will depend on how much value you can add to the program, what about the quality of your experience (life exp, work exp and other special personal trials) and how mature the way you evaluate yourself as a real person.
Darden is a decent place to learn business. I speak from experience. So, try it, if you can.

my ibt speaking score is 19, should I retake it? I found darden don't have a minimum requirement of toefl, but since the case mode needs strong english ability, I'm not sure whether this will be a weak point.

I guess Toefl has very low weight in admission but if you can retake without much effort and get a better score, why not?

For 2008-2009, Loan rate(variable rate, adjust quarterly) is 2.6% plus one-month LIBOR rate. The initial rate is 8.07%.
