It's painful to wait for the final decisions.

I have a feeling I will be waitlisted by Darden if I only have average luck.  There was no chemical between me and the alumni who interviewed me.  We two have totally different styles....

I will be admitted by Darden if my luck is really good.

I want to know the result to verify my intution...

abc, Darden is a school you are going to spend the rest of two years, given you have already had an offer letter from Ross? You just want to know how many schools to extend offers to you. Right?

No.  I'm too old to do that game.  I don't have an offer from Ross yet.  Waiting now.

Darden is 9 hours' ride from Boston.  Ross is 11 hours.  I want to go to a place closer to Boston. 

Well, now, I don't know....  Ross is good, but too far away from Boston... Darden is good, too.

Anyway, I'l make the final decision after I know which schools I can go to.

Dear abc, I don't think 2 hours is critical for you to choose a b-school, which may be the biggest investment in our life. The career goal and the rest life you want should be the key. To be honest, I'm struggling in the choice too. Seems you are in American, what's your opnion for these two schools? In terms of placement for Chinese, the connection between alumni and the school environment...

Hope we have the chance to be classmate in this fall.

You're right.  Well, for me, at this age, I guess love and family is more important part of my life than career.

Unfortunately, I'm not in the US.  Both Ross and Darden are great schools, I would say.  Darden has a smaller program, so there should be closer ties between class fellows, in theory...

Both Darden and Ross alumni are very willing to help. 

Darden and Ross may have different traditions due to their different geographical locations.  Darden belongs to the South, Tomas Jefferson's hometown.  If you read the novel "Gone with Wind", you should know what's the tradition in the South.  Ross might be different.  It's in the mid-west, closer to Detroit where the industry used to be so presperous.
