what salary information are you referring to?

For top schools, you can expect the average starting salary post-MBA to be around 90K to 120K US$ depending on industry and job functions.  That's assuming you will be working in US or getting global pay in certain industries like I-Banking or Consulting after MBA.  It would be a totally different story if you work in, say a marketing function in a local Chinese firm afterwards because you will be receiving local pay and the MBA does not add much premium to the salary that you can command.

With that being said and understanding that salary is an important consideration in MBA, I'd like to stress the importance of having a truely fruitful MBA experiences.  After all, it is an event that is going to take up 2 years of your life and have an impact on your thinking with the many years to come.  So, don't just focus on the salary itself (or money for that matter), for I guarantee you that the best way to make a lot of money is DEFINITELY NOT to do MBA.

以下是引用shuhao2353在2006-11-2 14:30:00的发言:

Dear every Darden alumni and DA NIU,

I have several questions about the self-report transcipt.

First, in GPA information session, does the academic calendar means the length of undergraduate education? Fox example, 4 years in China?

Second, what does the advanced placement infomation mean?

Third, about course information, what does the purpose mean? Required course or elective course?

Attached please find the file fyr.

Thanks!

PLease do drop email or call admission officer, they are going to be very helpful on this. I am really not the right person to answer this kind of question becuase it's very possible that I am wrong.

Same opinion with Bosco. On the other hand, Darden gradute will definately get much higher than 8-10K RMB/Month even in China.

thanks a lot Boscong for your explaination,I agree with you that we should not focus more of the salary for taking a MBA journey but the career development and personal improvment, but we can not deny that the salary expectation is one of the major factor that some students chose the business school.
