请教一个傻问题，Darden网站总会有一个"military experience" 的介绍，看完之后还是有点模棱两可，到底是说在Darden的学习和生活象military experience呢，还是说有一个类似军训的活动？

Batten Institute is a research center focusing on entrepreneurship. Batten Institute can sponsor business plan contest and help incubatoring start up by Darden students. One of my learning team classmates started up a electricity equipment company at Darden. Darden provides him the office space, telephone,fax, guidance from experienced entrepreneurs, and free consulting service from Darden professors. Batten Institute also provide scholarships to students. I know a few of them getting 100% tuition waive.

Batten Insitute is a kind of resource at Darden. The value of it will only be shown when you dig it deep.

Military experience refers to those applicants who had military background. In US, people who served this country is highly valued by all walks of people. One of my best friends at Darden was a military pilot prior to Darden. Another classmate went to West Point to teach after Darden. Their tuition and all expense are reimbursed by military. Many companies prefer recuriting those people with military background, assuming them having more discipline and leadership potential.

No problem at all. The GMAT is not Darden's focus. Darden is looking at candidate who has strong acmadic ability but more importantly, leadership and communication skill. 680/690 is high enough!

Marketing research in a consumer goods company is definately great experience to talk about when you apply... we have one Chinese from P&G this year.

Yes Darden MBA will carries a lot of weight... if he know you much that would be great.
