Hence ,E is out of scope.Nothing regarding the number of white blood cells was discussed in the argument.

In choice D ,because magnanimous behavior will stimulate the activity of the cells ,magnanimous behavior will do us good  and that is all about choice D.

So D is the best answer definitely

实际上就是 mag behavior-->beneficial chemicals--> white blood activities-->fight infection  于是mag对人有好处

前面说了半天mind and immune 都是废话吧？

我觉得LZ的理解是对的，但E推理过度了，behavior is consistently magnanimous不一定导致white blood cells will increase radically。

好吧，正好看到这题，发觉还有人在顶，而回答的人有一个点没有踩准，就补充一下。

这道题我原来选的也是E，看了答案后也有大家一样的纠结。但仔细看了后，发觉两个词能很明确的表明答案的错误。

原文：which produce the white blood cells needed to fight infection

E：the number of white blood cells will increase
     radically
    if behavior is consistently magnanimous.

体会一下这两个词吧。
