Regarding GMAT, I check that the average GMAT from USNews is 678. So it means that there are some people actually below 678. But as far as I know, McCombs requires or implies a high GMAT score for Chinese and India Student. Is that true? Anyway, I will retake the test to enhance my score!

Can you talk a little bit about Plus Program at McCombs? Is it unique during all the top tier MBA programs?

McCombs Plus is a practical, experiential professional development program where you sharpen your communication skills, build your network, and explore career possibilities.  

Plus started from last year. Actually we just finished it for this semester. It was right after midterm and lasted 2 weeks. During these two weeks, we have communication workshops, in which communication experts are invited for speeches. After that, we have small group communication labs, which I enjoyed and benefited most(those communication coaches are TERRIFIC!). A project from real business wil be done in a team with a captain to lead the project. Some students got their intern or full-time after the projects! Projects are catogorized into several academies, in which you can learn and exchange your ideas from real business leaders. At the same time, career panels and interview workshop are going on...

In all, plus program connects students with real business world, which I think is very unique.

hi, feifeifeifei, i am a lending officer in charge of loans to energy industry in state-owned bank. will my background be a competitive superority when applying energy finance, compared with other applicants?

To be frank, marketing in McCombs is not as strong as IT, energy, etc.
However, if you want to focus on IT marketing, not bad at all.

Your background is cool and you definitely should try UT. Take advantage of it and make the adm. com believe you are perfect fit to this school.

feifei, thank you very much for your invaluable info. so, my second question is: my goal is to do M&A, will it conflict to the mission of energy finance, that is, i am not sure whether it is appropriate to mention my interest in the energy finance group or "how much" to mention it. thx in advance.
