MBA VS. MPA

现在的ＭＰＡ与ＭＢＡ相比在就业方面谁的机会更好一些啊？？？尤其是对于从中国大陆去的学生．　GMAT是ＭＢＡ申请所必须的，ＧＭＡＴ是不是同样也适合于ＭＰＡ的申请吗？？？望各位牛人指导一下小弟啊　另外ＭＰＡ的主要就业领域是在那些方面啊？？？

who the hell wants to hire a foreigner to do public administration in America?

Who the hell wants to hire a guy without any real world experience to do public admin in China?

it depends!

Generally speaking, MBA  job offer is better for Chinese students, compared with MPA.

But as far as I knew nearly all the  MPA graduates in some well-known university found job after degree. For example, Kennydy in Harvard and Heinz in Carnegie Mellon. Some graduates even got offer from good consulting firms.

Nearly all MPA declared that the hard skill  is a must for chinese graduate to find a job in America. The hard skill includes Computer Science or  Quantitative work, or Finance.

Otherwise, MBA is better for job hunting.

I applied both MPA and MBA this year. Now happened to receive offer from MPA, Carnegie. 

Yes, MPA from Carnegie is very good, the career service is terrific. But considering better job chance from MBA ,  I perfer the coming offers from MBA.

However, If you really love career goal in Public or non-profit enterprise. Go for it, You still have chance. It's up to your career goal.  Mine , I think, is more business oriented.
