consitutes  与 qualifies呼应吧。

此外，文中提到：

definition of pheromones

(5) as chemicals ....

至于能不能被感知（consciously detected）是学术界的争议。

好歹文中蜻蜓点水般地提到了一点成分（consititutes）的问题。

没有最好，只有更好了。

刚刚出去散了步,有了一个想法,觉得答案应该是 A. 因为A表明了SPILL的影响并非是在泄露的那一刻,而是有长久的影响.

不管怎样,自己解释通了,心情觉得好舒畅!!!
