我的理解是P认为听起来不象提琴的只是声音差而已,但不否认是提琴.less like 不等于否认.因为原文没有说P到底是不是否认了,所以我不会推出像你的这个结论.

所以你的理解产生了下面跟原文的矛盾:

原文说"only accepted judges of the sound quality of violins"

你说"只有提琴家才能判断"提琴"是否真的是提琴,"这是两回事了,这么明显的差异我推不出来啊.

我再试着解释一下. improved sound 是对谁来说的呢? 是对best-sounding exsisting violins来说improved, 但对于提琴家来说, improved sound violin 仍然worse than  best-sounding exsisting violins, 所以对提琴家来说就不可能有improved sound violin , 也就不可能造出来.

我现在感觉　E本身没有错误，　只是和原文无关，原文中没有支持E的信息．

你的意思是说，less like表示“不是提琴”? 如果这样的话，这题着眼点在less like上了。

如果你说的成立，那么D是对的。

只要音色不一样，就不是琴，如果不是琴，就谈不上violin that is improved。所以造不出这种琴。

本来我疑惑，就算造不出比best-sounding更好的琴，但是造一把比以前improved的琴总可以吧。现在看来一旦improved就会different,一旦different就不是琴了。。。

不会吧，less like表示不是提琴。那这题的逻辑就像楼上所说的制造一把就算improved一点的提琴就会different并且sound less like a violin（不是提琴），那么要支持P的观点所以就说不可能制造一把improved violin.
晕，这题也太复杂了吧!!!
