偶不是荣誉斑竹也不是NN但是想尝试解决一下they和their指代问题。

First,their指代vintners。根据就近指代的原则，their指代上一个句子的主语vintners。

Second,分号后面又是一个新句子，句子的主语为their wines，所以分号后面句子的分句主语they就指代其主句主语their wines。

但对OG的这个解释一直没有理解：

do is a conjugated form and sell is in the infinitive form, corresponding to its previous use in the sentence (in the phrase priced to sell).
        

do=do (to) sell, 这里如果加上to，看起来怪怪的。。

主词是their wines而不是Italian vintners.

 

 

 至于(C)是正确因为只有(C)是正确省略,其它答案都是不适当的省略selling/sold.
