For Q27, I agree with the answer B Women’s economic activities had become less varied by the end of the century; men’s economic activities had become more varied.
Firstly, because the passage states that, in fact, both the absolute numbers and (15) the percentage of adult women participating in civil cases grew steadily throughout the eighteenth century The part which is highlight means “the women’s economic activities did vary, but less dramatically compared with those of men.”
Secondly, from L42 of the passage, it states that women remained for the most part outside the new economic and legal culture of the eighteenth century. Again, it proves that although women’s economic activities remained the same for the most part, they had varied a little.
