为啥要把among改为about啊？语法笔记上说“Among引导介词短语，此句就缺少主语”，实在没明白啥意思，谁能帮忙讲一哈啊？

one important rule is:  For-clause  never come at the beginning of sentences, and cannot stand alone.  

thus, C is correct.

为什么不能选Early as（早在）？有这个phrase吗?  B is good, the phrase is "as....as".

the main sentence is " the ordeal .... is remembered as...".

if  forcible ----> forced,   how about "moved" in the sentence?  

"were forced moved" is obviously wrong, wrong, wrong. Either "were forced" or "were moved" is ok.

thus, forcible ------------> forcibly/adv      "who were forcibly moved from their homland in the 1830's" is good.

We use 'among' when somebody or something is in a group, a crowd or a mass of people or things which we do not see separately.

among/prep.   ---------> over/almost/about/more than/not less than/nearly/adv.
