Generally speaking, journal publication is different from textbook publication.

I don't think these two can be in comparison. And obviously, textbook is not the creteria to evaluate faculty, esp for research fellows.

James Ohlson 绝对算是会计学界的大牛了，申请ASU也就是看他家的faculty阵容比较强大。

However, their placement does not match the fame. Hope it turns better within few years.

Besides, Olhson seems very busy. I find that he traveles all over the world in more than half a year.

其实只是我个人猜测

你可以自己去看看ASU的网站,几位会计领域的著名教授都是最近几年加盟的,也就是说他们带的学生还没有毕业呢
