Am I crazy?

I am a civil&construction engineer, working in USA. It has been six years since I came from China, and I apply to several top B-schools this year, wanting to switch career to project finance or MC post MBA and get back to China. SO far I Got in at Darden and Cornell, however, neither school is not my top choice, (dinged by Wharton, Chicago and Columbia),

I may end up with not going either school but coming back to China for a local MBA, say CEIBS or CKGSB,  with less cost and stronger network. Am I crazy?? you can say it...but  after working and living in US for six years, I feel that what I need is not an international perspecitve, I do need to know more about China.

如果拿不到排名好的美国学校回国读一流的B-school也未必不是好事。

why not Hong Kong?

China perhaps does not own the institutional environment to use project financing technique to finance large scale civil projects.To some extent the dometstic capital market and project finance business do not match.

Try HK business school.

I guess it's a personal choice. Think it over before you move ahead though. Good luck!

My case is different from yours, since you have green card. I do not have anything to lose if I choose to come back.

In addition, if you apply you may get in a top 7 school, which means a great deal; I already tried but failed to get in, in my eyes, CEIBS is better than a non-magic-7 school for a Chinese.

  我也是，不过个人情况不同啥，lz还是得自己考虑，其实你自己早就有了主意，来这只不过想获得点支持，呵呵。
