华丽得被Austin拒掉鸟。。。

第一次听说Austin这个名字，是XDF上课的时候，老师说美女最多的学校。 MBAtour在上海开的时候第一个到他们展台去看了下，与admission officer谈了两句，似乎他们说T620以下的不会考虑。不过很喜欢德州，所以尽管自己G710/T610还是决定去申请。春节窝在家几天就是为了赶他们的deadline，拼命写essay。最后找一个朋友改好后在deadline前面一天upload了essay。

没过几天就收到了申请确认信和帐号，登陆上网站后发现说G成绩没收到和学校的transcript也缺失。赶紧打电话去确认，最后发现是他们工作的失误，一切弄好后就在等待最后的决定了。

一个月过去了，定期的查看网站状态已经茫然了，也没有任何letter from austin。今天上CD一看有2个人已经被录取了，再次登陆网站，发现状态已经是华丽得 denied 了鸟～～～

问题出在什么地方了呢？难道因为upload essay那天凌晨，我迷迷糊糊传了没改好的上去？（因为是通过email和帮我改的朋友交换的essay，朋友对我的career goal 那篇最终稿很满意，所以回了个好就没改。而我至今没在机器上找到我改好的最终版本，事后那种担心就让我一直很郁闷）还是因为T成绩差了10分呢？

Sigh....我的USD125啊～～～，我的Austin之梦破灭了。虽然做Quiz的结果Austin是最适合我生活的美国城市，现在只能祝拿到offer的兄弟姐妹们好运啊～～～

谢谢！我也是Feb/1这一轮的，status还没什么变化，不过也没有interview消息。I know the taste of ding is not good which I also had, but let's face it, it's just part of life, you get good news and bad news.

刚去看了一下状态,依然处于审查之中.做了这个TEST. I am Austin, too

Austin的申请系统和流程真磨人. 我给GIAC打电话, 录音中说"我们强烈推荐你在线申请,虽然该系统很不便利", 听得我哭笑不得,心想原来你们还是知道的呀, 然后给Admissions Committee写信,回复如下:

Once GIAC has completed the initial review process, the application will be sent to the McCombs MBA Admissions Committee. This committee consists of current students and the full time MBA Admissions Office staff.  Each application is reviewed by three different individuals: 1.) a MBA student MAC member, 2.) a full time Admissions staff member, and 3.) the Director of Admissions.  This review process can take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks.

The website status page is updated as applications move through the process and will notify applicants when a decision is made. Admission decisions will also be sent by first class mail.   The first decision letters will go out in December.  The application process typically takes 8 - 12 weeks, although for applications received between December and March it may take longer, as this is our busiest time.  

所以看看自己的材料是何时完成的,然后再后推4-6周或者更长....我的材料是2月22号才审完,用了三个星期.

我也是去年申请UT被ding的。 我给他们发了信询问为什么落榜，然后又问给我面试的人原因。今年我再次申请，终于梦想成真。我能体会你现在的心情，但是如果你真的喜欢Austin，喜欢UT的话，就不要放弃。记住一句话，there is a will, there is a way. 祝你好运。

MM申请的时间大概有点晚，我当时是1月10号交齐了所有的材料，16号online系统就变成application completed。那个时候GIAC好象还不是很忙。
