Ann arbor is a very nice town

it is not far away from big cities like Detroit(40 munites) Chicago(4 hours) toronto(4 hours).

There are some nice Chinese restaurants there, also some Japanese and Korean ones

In addition, michigan is a good plqce for you to practice your driving skills

purchase a car when you arrive in Ann Arbor, it will make your life enjoyable there

remember to drive to Northern Michigan during October; really amazing views there

It all depends on the market. I was talking with I-Banker  who is responsible for interview Asia interns last night. He told me that normally,he would only consider applications from Wharton, Chicago and Columbia unless the candidate is graduated from Standford or Harvard with IB experiences. Howvever, if the market hiring is like 2005, he may consider others (with IB experiences) to make up the number.

I don't think it is the bank's hiring policy. and who wants to be a banker when the market is bad? the newly graudated MBA will be the first one to receive the firing letter.

IPO in 2005 was the best year since 2000, 2006 will be even better

so it is a time for those who want to go to IB

My friends in Ross easily got intern from some famous IBs

So far, only 4 students of class 2006 have not accepted (or got) the
offer and are still hunting for other full time employment
opportunities. The offers others have accepted include: Mckinsey, BCG,
Bain, Lehman Brothers, UBS, CSFB, HSBC, and other leadership rotation
programs in industry.

career switch is always hard for international students. At least you
should have some sort of ties with previous work experience (either
industry or function).

This is the best team I met so far. Warm-hearted, diversified backgrounds and personalities with excellent teamwork!
