G770/T280(computer test), tier 2 Chinese university, BA, Finance

8 yrs working experience, 3 years in China, 5 years in US, no Green Card yet because of the stupid FBI name check.

Now, XDJMs in CD, if you got dinged by schools, or gave up the application at last minute, please keep your chin up - I was dinged last year by NYU without interview. Yes, I am a re-applicant. That's why I mentioned in the begining: please keep the hard work, and never give up!

What's the difference between both you--- the one who was dinged last year and the one who's admitted by NYU this year ?

I believe your experience will be helpful for many re-applicants.

Except one year older and some changes in personal life, I am still the same guy in last year as a person. However, my application changed a lot. My understanding of MBA and MBA application got deeper this year. Let me quote one of my good friends, who is a Wharton alumnus: "Remember, it's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game!"

GOOD POINT. JUST WANT TO GET SOME IDEA OF HOW TO PLAY THE GAME.  I GOT DINGED BY COLUMBIA, THINKING REAPPLY FOR SEPT 07. ALSO CONSIDERING NYU STERN.

B'coz family obligation, only choice is NYC. GMAT 710, GPA 3.88, accounting major, from U.S. public college. W/E: 6 yrs international trade in China, 1 year public accounting in U.S.

Looking forward to hearing fellow CDers' advice.
