请大家帮我看看IE的申请材料(一个问题看不明白)

Additional information: What contribution could you make to a highly proactive programme?

大家看看怎么理解Proactive 啊? 我是一点也看不懂这个问题。

这个问题属于一般性问题,回答个5-8行就行了。

As far as I know there are a lot of cases discussion and team works in IE. So they basically expect you to contribute your work and life experience during the class. As a student from China, you naturally have a lots to say about. Anyway, it is difficult to escape from the topics on China today.

If you have any questions about application to IE, send them by: zjna01(在) gmail.com.

I also suggest you to go to the blog: http://blogs.ie.edu/ChineseCommunity

Hopefully, it is helpful.

Haha, finally I found peers on CD for IE application.

Hey, Zjna. What is the life in IE? Since I don't know spanish, is it troublesome for me? Is it easy to find a job in europe for IE MBA? The cost for IE doubles than the investment for domestic MBA such as CEIBS even with scholarship. Is it really worthful?

Be free to send me any qustions about the life and enrollment in IE.

About the typical day in IE, you are welcomed to seacrh in the above mentioned blog.

For me, it is better to have MBA abroad. This year, IE internatonal MBA has a student body of 50 countries.

During the last two terms, my group consists of professonals from UK, USA, Spain, Argentina,Chile,Iran,Negaragua.

It is a big challenge and fun to work with the people with so diferrent cultures and backgrounds.

Also, most of professors in IE have a good acedemica and professional experience. Most of them hold permenant positons, not visiting.

The job placement largly depends on your pre work experience.

Hope these words sounds informative.

Dear Zjna, thanks a lot for your information. Actually the situation is exactly I expected and estimated according to the introduction from IE shanghai office and website. I have surfed your blog although there are not so many Chinese faces. It is interesting to know IE has the partnership with QingHua and HKUST. As I know there are four Chinese students in IE 2005 enrollment, could you please give me some ideas about their background and career forecast after IE? Of course, the information should be admitted by them since these things are private affairs.

By the way, is it easy to live in Madrid in case I don't speak Spanish? I know the foreign students spent a lot of time on studying, how about Chinese students?

you are right. for the intake of 2005, there are four Chinese students, one from Hongkong (marketing), two from Shanghai (finance and consulting postions in mutlinationals ) and I am from Jiangsu working at the local government. It is difficult to predict the after-MBA career since we still not finish the chunk of MBA. But I guess most of us at least have some ideas about the desired work places.

IE has exchange programs with qinghua, fudan, incead and HKUST. This year a lot of students applied for these schools. I think IE tends to cooprate more closely with Fudan, since they jointly run EMBA program in Shanghai.

As for the living in Madrid, I would say it is a kind of experience. I also not speak spanish before getting admission from IE. Actually it would be a plus if you can grasp this language during one year. Before the starting MBA, the enrolled students have option to learn Spanish one month before the program starting. It is free and will continue during the whole secesion.

Competition in most of BS is quite fierce. Yes we work a lot and learn a lot. Of course, we enjoy the bars in Madrid every Thursday and the sunny days in Madrid.

By the way, the living cost in Madrid is less than that in London or Paris.

If more detailed qestions, simply drop me an email.

hola, zjna, are you acquainted with the program of Master of Management in Marketing?I just attended the session held by IE in Shanghai. The M3program seems attractive coz there is no need for working experience but the total costs seem a little bit high also.I am not quite sure about it.Could you offer me some information about that? Thank you very much!Gracias!

dannywhw, my email: zjna01(在) gmail.com.

bonjourguan, marketing program does not require a long working experience, compaired with an average of 5 years for IMBA in IE. But this year we have some students who has 3 years working experience in IMBA program. I think the career orientation after the graduaction is more important, when  choosing the different graduate program. The marketing progam is relatively new initative for IE and also for other graduate schools. If you have some marketing backgroud or want to switch to this direction, it may acheive a first-mover effect. Tell me what kind of information you need, and I would be of your help.
