The number of Indian professors in marketing is not very high but they are excellent. The most famous professor is Rao! However, the Indians like to use quantitative methods to solve the problems of marketing. So some marketing courses are similar to mathematics courses. The Dean of Olin is Jewish and he likes to have minority professors. I came back from Olin last year.
As for waiting list, who is your interviewer??? Jan Snow, an American woman and assistant MBA Director??? Try to contact her! She likes to see applicants showing great interest in Olin.
