主语+主语同位语+...+谓语+宾语. 可以看出此处应为一个主语从句,来解释主语. 选C最合适. 但唯一的问题在于,Mural 后谓语应为Deals or dealt. 不知题目是否有错语. D)Which + 主语 永远错. 介词+which+主语 对.

the number of + uncountable noun + singular verb (e.g. is/has/was...)

a number of  + plural noun + plural verb

The number of unemployed is  rising steadily.

A number of people have tried to find the treasure, but they have all failed.
