最近PhD application 怎么如此沉寂？

It's hard to say. Really it depends on one's competitiveness and of course, fortune. Usually they recruit Chinese students to specialize in modelling and empirical study. Relatively fewer domestic students would like to do this so the stake is good, relatively speaking.

Sure, for kinda of weak background like me, it's very tough to get into any of these fields. :-( Maybe I should stick to economics.

我的材料是在十二月底寄出的。從秘書口中得知admission committee預計在March 3rd 之前完成口試，再耐心等等吧，也許電話就來了。

很久都没有看到版上有PHD的消息，很是奇怪怎么没有几个申请PHD呢

原来大家都在苦闷的等待中。。。看来录取结果真的要至少3月中旬才出来啊，那真是等得太难熬了。不过看到大家都还没什么消息才知道这算是正常情况

所以我觉得大家都不必担心，一起等好了。不过我也是一心就想读PHD，万一全部失败，都没有后路可退。。。所以还是很紧张

BTW: 大家都是抱准PhD一个方向吗？我还申请了几所econ作为备选，毕竟经济系招的人比商学院多得多。而且我看了不少商学院牛人的profile，很多人都是先去读个econ硕士，然后再转申商院的。

从中国大陆直接申请实在难啊。。。郁闷~
