Great comments, snowyspring, thanks. I have some follow-up points on Canadian citizenship. I am suspicious about that it would make much difference for MBA job hunting in USA. I remember someone here mentioned there are restrictions on what kind of jobs (MBA related) Canadians can apply for with TN visa.If we can apply for jobs through H-1b, then we are again definitely "international". I not sure either how much this citizenship would help me find jobs in Canada since we are still immigrants in a small job market.
In the long run, I would definitely try US market if I have the chance. So for going to south of the border, do you think an Canadian MBA (such as Ivey) will have many opportunities in USA? This is really a concern for me if I choose to study MBA in Canada. BTW, anyone can say a bit more about how well international MBAs from schools like Purude (though it is still a good school) are doing in US job market?
But I agree with you all that job-hunting is a case-by-case experience.Futher comments are welcome or simply for discussion. |
