How is the job hunting from those students who want to stay in the US and do not have a green card? Are the companies, especailly those IB on Wall Street, willing to sponsor H1-B or Green Card for those Chinese students who do not have a green card?

I don't have a dazzling background--not IB/MC or Fortune 500, nor founder of NASDAQ-traded firm... My classmates are from quite diverse industries: while finance is definitely a key area (because of the large applicant base), there are also government, legal, high-tech, marketing, military...you name it.
That being said, what do you think is the most important to get a spot ?
