Who got Stanford R2 interview?

Can you share something about essay A? Do you think you write an excellent essay A? I heard it is very important. Unfortunately, I wrote a bad one.

I won't say my Essay A is good or not, because it's very subjective. But I will say I like it a lot. It summarized my life/belief in a coherent, interesting way. I know I did my absolute best. I wrote at least 3 completely different versions, I made major modifications to the last version no less than 20 times. In the end, it was 10 pages (double space), and I felt like I said everything I ever wanted to say. But that's not to say that I wasn't worried sick while waiting.

Thanks for sharing, Tuxiaoyang.

i only wrote 3 pages, and my effort and time spent on it  were way less than yours. I knew my essay A is superficial, but didn't have enough time to write a new one.  The other big weakness is that I don't have strong leadership experience. Working as an engineer in silicon valley without manager position really can not say too much about leadership. Stanford is my dream school, but it probably will be a dream forever.

I would say leadership extends beyond professional work. you could practice your leadership in social work or extracurricular activities. if you only dream it, it could only be a dream. its never late to start now. I'm planning to start an alumni club here during the time span before I go to business school this fall. I believe I have to lead myself before I can lead others.

seems we went through similar process. and hope we reach similar ending :-) I changed the theme once. not a complete change, but expand latter on top of the previous one. I built about 12 versions. and as you said, "I felt like there was nothing more to add." so I'll keep a peaceful mind and let the adcom to make the judgement that who I am and am I good for GSB.
