我收到University of Washington 的offer，USD12K的scholarship，有没有其它CDers想去那里的？

现在正在比较选择University of Washington  还是 Michigan State University

请前辈指点

UW在西北部应该属最好的一所学校，所以在seattle竞争力比较强

这两年这边的job market挺不错，学生都找到不错的工作，也是因为这样，排名在去年有了显著的提高。

如果比较喜欢seattle这个城市，不是一定要选择东部，uw是个不错的选择。

I also applied UW, just did interview yesterday, wait for their feed back.

Questions:

1. I also get offer from Portland State U with full assistantship (waive tuition, small monthly stipend), but they need my confirmation by March 1st. so can anyone suggest how long it will take UW to finalize its decision. they told me for second run, it has to be April 5th..is there a way to know results early?

2. I heard UW doesn't like to give full scholarship, is it?

3. I know in terms of ranking, UW is better....but FT2006 ranking at 61 gloably, still not top 20 schools. so any suggestion between two choice?

my background: 8years Fortune 500 company working experience, GMAT: 760, TOEFL: 623

请问lz是什么时候申请uw的，什么时候收到interview invitation的？我deadline那天submit的application,2月6号收到说application complete,之后就没有消息了。他家interview invitation不是已经发完了吧？

1. UW第一轮发offer是1.13才开始发的，当时写信问就说了不会提前发。第二轮是不是也是这个规矩，还要自己写信核实一下。他们工作效率很高，信很快就回。

对，一般UW只给第一年tuition一部分waive，好像是10000－13000左右。不过西雅图的房价还算便宜，一般one-bedroom500-600可以找到还不错的。

3. I know in terms of ranking, UW is better....but FT2006 ranking at 61 gloably, still not top 20 schools. so any suggestion between two choice?

对portland state我不是很了解，但在seattle肯定还是uw名气更大一些，找工作自然更认UW。而且UW的学费和生活费都偏低，所以可以考虑一下。

顺便share一下我申请的时间：11月13交的申请，12月9号campus面试的（人在这边可能相对快一些，所以没有收到interview不要着急），1月13号接到offer。tuition waive是在一周之后收到的。

个人建议是不是可以先接受PSU，毕竟是全奖，成本应该只是几百美元

对，能省一半学费算好的了，并且第二年的奖学金还要重新申请

我也觉得FT的排名挺奇怪，中欧排很靠前？但是UW的排名近几年提高很快
