If yes, I will say it depends on your working environ, the type of your bosses, and type of your job.
Ok, let's go to the fun part. If you have to crunch numbers all the day and your boss happens to be a nice person, math and RC will be good choices. You can always say that I am practicing my math to shape my mind and reading interesting articles to relax (although you may not feel real relax when reading).
That's a good idea. I used to create a new message in outlook and start writing an issue. One of my colleague happened to see me doing this once and asked me what kind of the mail i was writing because it looked a little bit long than a normal mail.
