以下是引用waterg在2006-1-10 19:36:00的发言:hello, ricelover, what do you mean by "its very strong localization"? Could you give us more detail on that please? Good luck to LZ. I'am applying UT too.
Strong localizaton means:
- 40% recruiters come from Texas ( such as Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio)
- 30-40% your future classmates come from Texas. 30-35% from other states. 25-30% from other countries.
My personal opinion:
If you want to choose energy industry, UT Austin is your good choice.
If you want to start up your own busienss after a couple of years, UT Austin is your good choice. Its entrepreneurship curriculum is very strong, and UT Austin is a good bridge for your future business in South America(like Brazil, Peru, etc.)
If you like a big university, and want to make some friends in other fields, UT Austin is your good choice. UT Austin is one of the largest universities in US. Almost all of its graduate programs are top 20 in US. You have many chances to make some new friends who are in other schools.
If you want to enjoy all kinds of sports, UT Austin is your good choice. UT is very strong at football, basketball, volleyball, and some other sports. I believe that UT will bring a lot of excitements to you in your two years MBA life. Oh, UT football team just won the NCFL Rose Bowl, Hook'em Horns.
McCombs' Accounting(top 3), Management Information System(top 5), Entrepreneurship (top 7), Marketing (top 10).
UT Austin is not a top 10 business school. But if you think its features make it best fit to you, it will be your #1 in your heart.
I am so proud of UT Austin.
Good Luck to all McCombs' applicants.
