我总觉得last year 位置比较奇怪，last year好像是一个副词性，可以直接修饰名词prediction吗？

另外参照一个 GWD17-14

Whereas lines of competition are clearly defined in the more established industries, in the Internet industry they are blurred and indistinct, as companies that compete one day may be partners the next.

答案选E     preditions last year that  

我总觉得last year 位置比较奇怪，last year好像是一个副词性，可以直接修饰名词prediction吗？

比较A和E

A: Contrary to financial analysts, who predicted last year that ..., the personal computer industry continued to ...

E: Contrary to financial analysts' predictions last year that ..., the personal computer industry continued to ...

个人观点：主句主语是the personal computer industry，那么contrary to应该搭配financial analysts' predictions；“修饰”属于想当灵活的考点，一般来说不好用来做排除的理由。

这题有争议，我选A,排除B的理由也是one day 和the next

如果是B的话， competing companies one day may be partners the next 就是名词+副词

感觉和上面一题有点类似，还请大家指导指导！

个人看法：我觉得 in the Internet industry的位置的不同造成B中的they有指代industries的嫌疑，而A中 in the Internet industry在they之前，因此they不可能指代industries.

另外，B中的that are属于累赘，在OG的偏好之外；但是注意，此点绝对不能用来作为排除的理由，例外还是不只有一个的，具体举不出来。

楼主啊，不知道你对tonyadidas的SC总结研究的如何？我觉得实在是太经典了，我觉得甚至连总结的顺序都和考点频率一致；后来我用tony的sc总结作为框架，自己把复习中遇到的情景加进去，最后应该说理解了tony总结的80-90％。

1.坚持我一直的看法，老美非常喜欢平衡的感觉。就如这题，contrary to对应的两者需要性质上的一致：‘分析者的预测和个人微机市场’（两件事的对应），显然比前三个选项中的‘分析者和个人微机市场’（人和事的对应）要和逻辑。

2.last year是一个时间状语，就像副词一样，修饰一个句子，没有错误。

in my opinion, "contrary to" do not  need to meet some parrallel principles(unlike other 介宾短语 eg,in contrast with).

for the example drawn from 大全223: contrary to popular belief, victors in the ancient Greek Olympic Games received cash prizes in addition to their laurel wreaths.

In the above question, apprantly E is the best answer. But my question is: (1) if predictions last year（n + last year） is ok, then "

competing companies one day may be partners the next" is at least grammartically correct. (2) and the sentence "as companies that compete one day may be partners the next" versus "as competing companies one day may be partners the next",  which one would be better.

3x in advance.
