I totally agree. All IB wants is a smart and aggressive young man/woman who can work 80-100 hours a week. However in this case, LZ might need to build a story to explain your job switches. Bankers are very risk averse. They want people who dream to be a banker when they were born.

I think both are great!

Wharton is great at Asia network.

Columbia is great in location.

if look into 2nd job opp after MBA, I think Wharton is definitely a good choice for the long-run, for its large-size and active Chinese alumni, for its name in Asia, if you want to relocate back to CHina. For the first-job hunting upon MBA, Columbia certainly takes the NY edge.
