我是赶在第一轮截止日之前递的材料，Smith的staff非常友好，以邮寄日期作为标准，而非收到的日期。实际上，我的official G/T成绩比Round 1 deadline晚了近2周。

谢谢，也就是说你是在11月份那个DEADLINE之前提交的吧。

我是12月13号提交的，还得耐心等待。

另外，怎么查看录取过程中的STATUS啊？就一直等他们的EMAIL吗？

我在12月15号之前递交了材料。最迟，面试通知一般在多久之后可以知道呢？还有maryland 是AD直接面试，还是ALumni呀？

Last year my interviewer was an admission officer. I also heard that some students' interviewer were 2nd year students. And for Chinese students, if you are in China, normally it will be telephone interview. However, I heard that AD may arrange a face-to-face interview session in Shanghai on early Feburary.

About waiting time, I need to consult with admission office first. Will turn back to you, if I get the answer.

真是一个好贴，先感谢楼主的热心。

我对Maryland很感兴趣，因为觉得从排名到地理位置都还不错。我听说Maryland的Marketing很强，我想问问是不是很难申请marketing方向的mba？我个人G\T成绩都不错，但是GPA和工作经验就弱了一点，虽然有4年工作经验，但是marketing相关不到2年，不知道我的可能性有多大，请楼主帮忙看一下。

另外，不知道学校有多大，如果申请不到奖学金，是否在上学期间有可能在学校其他系或者机构申请到GTF（waive tuition那种）。多谢！

I have submitted the material before 15 Dec and am expecting the interview.

Now I am currently working in Singapore and will go back to Shanghai for Chinese New year. So I am not sure about the location of interview. Let me cross my fingers and wait patiently.

马里兰的Marketing Department的研究实力的确比较强，而且很有特色，尤其是在网络营销和高科技产品营销方面有一批顶尖的教授。至于申请，在申请的时候并不会要求你特别申请某一个方向，而是整个MBA Program,你还是应该结合自己的工作背景展示自己在管理，领导方面的潜力，我并不觉得2年的Marketing工作经历很短，关键是你如何展示你自己！祝好运

申请整个大学的其他机构的financial aid并非完全没有可能，但是可能性比较低，而且通常只有在到达美国以后才能申请，不知道你的背景如何，今年几乎所有的中国大陆学生都是有financial aid的，所以你应该有信心
