Hello,

I am Jooyoung Park, an associate professor at Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS).
I am sharing this advertisement to find a research assistant.
The working hours and loads will be flexible. The payment will depend on the work hours. Who I am looking for?
1. Can communicate in English!
I am happy to learn Chinese, and I wish. But, with my poor Chinese, I need someone who can fluently speak Chinese and English.
2. Interested in academic research and pursuing graduate study (Master’s degree and/or PhD).
I have worked with graduate students at Peking University for ten years. I have closely worked with several students who are pursuing a doctoral degree in the US or Europe. I believe working with me will definitely equip you with research experiences and will increase the chance of getting into a top-tier research school. If you want to pursue doctoral degree or master’s degree, you would be interested in working with me.
3. Have enough time for work
I am looking for those who have more flexible time and want to devote the leisure time for the RA work. I understand the time pressure students have and want my research assistant to well balance course work and RA work. Therefore, I tend to give sufficient time when asking tasks. However, there might be some tasks that should be done within a day or two. In such a case, the work will not consume a lot of time. If you are already busy with classes, school activities, and/or internship, this might not be a good option for you.
4. Good at programming or using data analysis packages  
I am a consumer behaviour researcher and usually use experiments to conduct research. However, I recently deal with field data and survey data. Thus, it will be great if you have programming skills (like Python) and/or can run SEM (structural equation model), it will be great. Even though are you are good at everything but are still willing to learn, you are still welcome to apply.

Most importantly, I am looking for someone who is reliable and proactive. This is gonna be a long-term commitment from both sides. I might offer help for many years throughout your study if you are applying for a graduate program. Therefore, I want to work with someone who is nice.
