请教大家一个句子,是OG语法的一句话,读起来有点拗,请问该如何理解?

No less remarkable than the development of the compact disc has been the use of the new technology to revitalize, in better sound than was ever before possible, some of the classic recorded performances of the pre-LP era.

到底是说the use of the new technology不如the development of the compact disc remarkable?还是说两者都remarkable?

然后in better sound than was ever before possible也不知道是在修饰谁?

哪位高手能给翻译一一下,解释一下阿?谢谢!!!

My understanding:

1. 显然, 按照语言习惯, 这句话强调的是: the use of the new technology is remarkable. 它甚至不比the development of the compact disc差. 按说the development of the compact disc已经很牛了.

2. 后面的in better sound than was ever before possible, 介词短语做补语,修饰revitalize(赋予新生).

in better sound than (sound) was ever before possible. sound 被省略了.

这是正常语序，看懂了吧？
