Main Idea: introduce key characteristics of west african music.P1: rhythm and timbre
European music: embellish a melody and set it to a rhythm, melody and harmony, melodic counterpoint
West African music: color a rhythm via counterpoint of a number of rhythmic instruments and incidentally dree it up with a melody, rhythm and timbre, rhythmic counterpoint.

如果欧洲音乐的核心是修饰旋律，通过一些旋律乐器当中的复调，和偶然的韵律（被模糊为adagio或者allegro），西非音乐的核心就是让rythme变的多样，通过一些rhythm乐器，弄出一段melody。因此，西非音乐的核心是rhythm和音色，不是melody和harmony。非melodic 复调，西非音乐是rhythmic复调
