Wharton Round one, interview invitation received

I wanted to apply for Wharton in the second round but a recent event made me to reconsiderate this decision. Well if you have been watching this season's Apprentice show... The candidate that's fired the week before last, Toral, an investment banker, is a graduate from Wharton.

On the show, this whartoner was completely incompetent, really bad in team work, hated by all her team members, and arrogant and at the same time stupid... She is definitely a big shame to the name of Wharton, in front of millions of TV audiences.

I'm sure she's a special case, but I was really disappointed about this deliverable by Wharton... Tell me am wrong.

But still, good luck with the interview.

haha, Toral was a bitch. Anyway, only the fisrt season is worth watching. apprentice is turning into either donald trump's own show or a soap oprea, in which there are 16 very bad actors/actresses. Every top school has some assh0les. (you know what i am talking about).  By no means they should stop you applying for the schools you like.

you take a TV show so seriously? you must be kidding........Donald Trump is also a wharton graduate, do you think he is typical?

复旦的读书真是没法比啊.敢问楼主在美国工作了几年了?

Actually, I agree with you guys and Wharton DEFINATELY has the worst MBA student quality among top schools. A show is a show, but factually, Wharton's student's pool is very poor. There is no doubt about that. Its reputation is still there, though.

Fudan is a very competitive place and I am still missing there. In 1994 when I entered Fudan, we had to fight hard for all the tests and exams. I can still recollect those summers and Spring festivals when I spent time on campus reading, preparing and suffering for GRE and TOEFL. Our department (chemistry) had 138 students and only two students came to the States in 1998 immediately upon graduation (can't compare that with USTC or Beijing U, right?..:-), I went to Columbia and the girl went to UCLA. Frankly, I personally don't think Fudan is particularly good in terms of that, but it's certainly a place that I will never forget in my life,  never and ever, no matter where I am, both in the US and in China.

To answer the last question, I joined Merck immediately upon my Ph.D graduation from Columbia in 2003.

Wharton is not as good as we imagined...I know many wharton alumni in my banking work, finding that they are not as good as i thought, both professionally and personally.

Wharton is friendly to china and with a high ranking but the Chinese people it admitted were not always good.

I knew some Lan Ren admitted by Wharton...To be honest, i feel ashamed of studying with those guys in teh same school
