Friendly, easy-going interview. Interviewlasted about 45 minutes. Definitely need to speak to why you are interested inCornell / why it is the school for you.

Questions:

- Why Cornell? And how do you want to beinvolved?

- Time you showed leadership?

- What would you do if someone on your teamisn't pulling their weight?

You leave your Skype on and wait until theycall you at the appointed time. Questions that were asked:

- Tell me about yourself.

- Why MBA now?

- What's your back-up recruitment strategy?

- Name a time you showed leadership.

The interview was very friendly andconversational. Fairly conventional and nothing particularly surprising, thoughit was highly tailored to my resume and background. There was definitely astrong focus on why Cornell specifically and it seemed like the interviewer wastrying to assess my interest in the school. I definitely got the sense thatJohnson has a strong and tight-knit culture from how the interviewer interactedwith me and talked about his experience.

- Have you spoken with any students inbrand management? (I indicated an interest in it.

- Talk about a time when you addressed and overcamea challenge.

- How did you choose to take the next stepsthat you did after COVID disrupted your job?

Overall, it was very pleasant andeasy-going. The student was one with similar goals as mine, I think they dothat intentionally to gauge how well thought out your goal really is and whatyour understanding is of the recruiting for it. The student did try tounderstand my resume and background after I did the ‘tell me about yourself’question. The student summarized my most recent role into 1-2 sentences andasked me to confirm if her understanding of it was correct.

My final thought would be that they reallydid try to get to know me in the 30 minutes of interview time.

UCLA Anderson

2022 Entry R1 / 2nd-Year Student / Zoom

Resume-based interview with a 2nd. Prettystandard questions:

Tell me about yourself.

- Why MBA? Why now?

- Why Anderson?

- Why are you a good fit for Anderson?

- Long-term goals?

- Plan B for short-term goals?

- Tell me about a time you used yourstrengths to help a team reach a goal.

- The interviewer was really friendly anddid a really good job of making it feel like a conversation. I think it speakswell to the type of students Anderson accepts.

2022 Entry R1 / 2nd-Year Student / Zoom

Normal questions asked:

- resume walk through

- tell me about your goals, plan b

- why mba

- how did you handle a conflict at work,etc.

2021 Entry R2 / Current Student / Zoom

I had a Zoom interview with a currentstudent. The interviewer had a list of questions to go through and did notintroduce themselves at all. My interview wasn't very conversational, but theinterviewer became friendlier towards the end after they had gone through theirlist of questions. So be prepared accordingly – as I ended up a bit nervouswhich affected the rest of the interview.

- Why do you want to join a business schoolat this stage?

- Why Anderson?

- How will you contribute to the school?

- Short Term & Long term goals. What isyour plan B?

- Tell me about a time you worked in adiverse environment.

- Tell me about a time you worked in a teamand how you helped them.

2021 Entry R2 / 2nd-Year Student / Zoom

It was really conversational and easy toget through. We did 30 minutes of Q&A then ran out of time so I could onlyask 2 questions.

- Walk me through your resume.

- Why business school?

- Why now?

- What's your plan B?

- What industry within consulting would youlike to focus on?

- UCLA is a diverse community. Tell meabout a time you worked with a team of diverse individuals.

- Tell me about a time you disagreed with ateam member? How did you handle that?

Carnegie Mellon Tepper

2021 Entry R2 / Adcom/ Zoom

The interview lasted about 25 min ratherthan the allotted 30. My interviewer was Tiffany Jackson, she was extremelynice. The interview mostly consisted of me answering her questions, but leftabout 10-15 min at the end for my questions at the end.

- Tell me about your current work position.

- Why do you want to pursue an MBA?

- Why Tepper?

- Name a time you did not have enoughinformation on a project, how did you overcome it?

- Name a time you had to compromise on aproject.

- Name a time you sought out opportunitiesto embrace people from other cultures.

- Any questions for me?

30-minute interview over Zoom with Adcom(blind/resume only-

The interview was very conversational. Thequestions asked were all questions that have shown up on here before.

Describe your current role to me. (I hadrecently gotten promoted so the adcom asked how my new role was different frommy prior role)

- Career goal?

- Why MBA?

- Why Tepper?

- What interested me in getting into mycurrent career?

- Tell me about a time where you had tocomplete a task and you didn’t have the information necessary to complete atask.

- Tell me about a time when you had tocompromise in your team.

- Tell me about a time where you taughtsomething to others/more junior employees.

- The adcom made sure to leave 5 minutesfor me to ask questions.

2020 Entry R2 / Adcom / On-Campus

Very friendly!
