Q20:

  3. took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete
  4. 700,000 artisans took more than 36 years to complete
  5. to complete them too 700,000 artisans more than 36 years

Why B? Why not C?

took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete them 应该和is more than 2,000 years old 并列 is more than 2,000 years old 用is 则推出主语the army of terra-cotta warriors 为单数,应将them改为it指代主语the army of terra-cotta warriors 应选B

  1. took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete them

  2. took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete it

  3. took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete

  4. 700,000 artisans took more than 36 years to complete

  5. to complete them too 700,000 artisans more than 36 years

the army of terra-cotta warriors created to protect Qin Shi Huang, LACE>ChinaLACE>’s first emperor, in his afterlife is more than 2,000 years old and took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete them.

句型it takes sb some time to do sth.

It took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete the army of terra-cotta warriors.

这里it作形式主语代替不定式to complete the army of terra-cotta warrior.

把the army of terra-cotta warriors提前:

the army of terra-cotta warriors took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete.

  1. have to know a great deal more than now about the social and economic
  2. have to know a great deal more than they do now about the social and economical
  3. would have to know a great deal more than they do now about the social and economical
  4. would have to know a great deal more than they do now about the social and economic
  5. would have to know a great deal more than now about the social and economical

Q30:

  1. what they now commonly call
  2. a plant that they now commonly call
  3. now commonly called
  4. and is mow commonly called
  5. which it is now commonly called
