It is not NVP, but NPV----Net Present Value. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is the same thing with Return on Investment ROI. It is usually expressed as a percentage. ^_^

Our professor who thought us IRR and ROI is a very nice and kind person. Your question made me think of him~ Hope that he is well now~

ROI must exceed k before investing makes financial sense. K is the weighted average cost of capital, usually comprised of the cost of debt and the cost of issuing shares of stock. K becomes the discount rate in a company’s investment models.
