To begin this note: The Fisher College of Business wishes you and your family well wishes during this very uncertain time. As you know, the COVID-19 global pandemic has reached the United States and is impacting our daily life, economy and school systems. OSU and the Fisher College of Business have moved to virtual/distance education and are monitoring the situation for this fall (autumn 2020 enrollment) very closely. We have created a webpage that should answer many of the questions you may have regarding this crisis. The webpage can be found here: https://info.fisher.osu.edu/grad_faq_covid-19_coronavirus. Within the webpage, there is a form that you can use to ask us any questions that you may have that are not covered. Someone from our office will respond to you as soon as we have an answer or are available. As of today, May 6th, 2020 – we do plan to offer in-person courses for autumn 2020 semester. If this would change, we would notify students immediately. Our hearts and well wishes are with you during this very uncertain time.

The Fisher College of Business would like to let any admitted candidates for autumn 2020 enrollment know that due to the unprecedented times we are facing – we are offering students who have been admitted for this fall the option to defer admission to autumn 2021 if they would like to do so. The process of deferring admission is easy – a student would just need to place their seat deposit (either $250 or $500 USD depending on program) and let the admissions officer know via email that they plan to defer. After doing so, a student would not need to apply again or place another deposit – their admission would just move to the following fall. We hope this flexibility gives our admitted students more peace of mind and flexibility in pursuing their graduate education in the U.S. and want students to know that we are being very flexible and understanding given the global pandemic.
