这个argument没有做出什么基于假设的原则，那么既然都没有，你去解释什么呢？

unless和only if 这两个词我认为表明更是一种条件，而不是假设

我当时就觉得下面这句话算是个假设了，再加上general principle我觉得就是翻译成常识的意思，
a society is stable only if its laws tend to increase the happiness of its citizens
是因为这句话并不是general principle吗？
