大家帮我看看39岁IT背景TOP MBA 的CHANCE

多谢各位的回帖, 很有见地.

只是我觉得各位多集中于帮我分析主观上我应不应该读 (JETRONG的帖子除外), 我现在基本上是决定要读. 我现在担心的是客观上被TOP10 录取的CHANCE 到底多大, (以年龄为障碍参照物考虑), 哪位大虾从学校是否会愿意录取我(或因为年纪而特别不愿意录取我)这个角度给分析一下.

年纪太大对申请很不利

而且缺少管理经验

TOP10的培养目标一般来说是future business leader

招收40岁的学生有违这个目标

MBA应该不是你这年纪读的,就年纪来说EMBA比较适合

而且,对申请TOP10来说应该是essay最重要

仅凭上面的信息很难判断你被入取的可能性

不过也不是完全没可能,可以试试wharton和michigan

     我猜你也是加拿大身份吧！

     其实我们的问题基本一样：这么大岁数了！什么样的美国商学院可以收我们，学习MBA啊！

所不同的是你实在出色很多！我自惭形秽啊！

B-Schools usually won't say that age is a problem, but they will ask you: why NOW? If many ppl here say that full-time MBA is probably not the best choice for you, you can imagine that adcoms will have the same concern. So, you need to come up with a convincing reason or story in order to get in.

Job replacement after b-school is definately sth you need to think about. Even if you don't care, b-schools do care.

其他都赞同，就是这句倒觉得不一定，看你的background了，如果足够，做一个project的leader还是可能的，本来leader的概念就是比较宽泛的

如果我处在你的位置,会重点考虑IMD,理由如下:

1－申请成功可能性：高

2－10个月，快

3－和国际化的成熟的同学学习效果，好

4－毕业工资，高

5－学完后你的国际经验和关系网，全（亚，美，欧通吃）

当然，要结合你的职业兴趣来考虑！
