Yes, but umich says the school won’t charge you additional fee for dual degree unless your credits exceed the required level. So overall the cost of umich is much lower than NYU. But I just want to know if it’s worthwhile to pay more for NYU

問題是.......你要dual degree, 就要take更多的credit (say 60-70), 估計你一個學期是超不了18, 甚至15也是吃力的, 那就代表了你要讀4-5個學期.....那學費就上去了......

而且就算講學費, 三個學期的michigan (one master only), 好像也比32 credit的NYU貴吧?
(生活費另議, 那個difference是用來買location的.)

四个学期的umich大概总共70万，三个学期的nyu保守80万～

所以感觉金钱方面似乎不存在huge difference，多余的10w买更多的就业机会worthwhile？

not only for seeking internship, but also for whatever networking possibilites with working professional in the city, e.g. 拼命找校友舊生出來coffee chat之類.
不是為求能拿internal referal, but learn much more about the industry from them.



其實我覺得.....去美國讀econ本身就不怎worth.
econ又不是FE, DS, CS之類, 留美機會其實不大 (even with STEM designation)

既然反正回國用, 你想想LSE一個econ master多少錢?

econ master留美难度本身大，考虑大概率回国的话，首先校友资源作用很小，而两个学校在hr眼里差不多。umich可以修dual degree对追求更好的岗位是加分项。
看lz的描述感觉lz对北美大城市也没有那么向往，那因为location多的10w感觉not worthwhile
