我想請教一下，括號中的句子是不是the time 的同位語啊!!!

若是，則其應是在the rocks前省略了that 嗎?

我认为是定语从句，先行词是time

形容詞子句形容time吧...先行詞為time...省略that

Should be:

.....reveal what life was like at the time when the rocks were formed.

定于从句的特殊省略：

reason 后面有定语从句，中间往往省略 why

time ..............................when

way ..............................in which
