以前我们也曾提及过，这儿再稍微强调下，美国排名前的学校最值得读，排名前50的学校也很不错，排名前60的学校也基本过得去，所以大家尽最大可能去这些学校读 PhD，排名再靠后的学校，需要权衡各方面的因素做决定，因为总的来说毕业去 Research School 相对比较困难，而且再过几年有的专业好的 Teaching School 也可能不是很容易了。顺便说一下，这儿所说的前60名只是个比较概括性的说法，细心的话你会注意到，这基本上和 Placement Rankings 的前三档学校相吻合。
Professionally, you are overworked from teaching up to six classes per year;
Academically, you might not be able to publish in top journals due to lack of time, resources, connections, and so on; and
Pecuniarily, you only make half as much as research school professors do.
Hi Tripleg, I just enrolled my program, but for many reasons I really want to apply some other schools this year. Somebody told me that this would hurt my reputation, but I really do not want to spend another five years in a program that I do not like.
