Hey there,
so from what I can see here all the basis of your profile is great - GPA, GMAT, work experience, industry, employer are all good. If you also come from a top school, that’s even better.
I would say, yes you should wait one more year. Because your PE experience at a bulge bracket bank will be more valuable than your big 4 experience, and you want to give yourself a solid bit of experience in the industry which will also make it easier for you to find a job when you leave.
You can also use the time to:
- do more volunteer work
- do more leadership
- get involved in more activities
- visit your target schools
- network at your target schools.
all of which will greatly help.
I think you an aim for M7 schools with some schools int he S16 in your safe schools - like NYU, Johnson, Tepper, all of which are good finance schools in the S16.
