So I think you have a good strong profile, and you have a great dream!

You do of course have to hit that GMAT score to make it happen

Otherwise you have a very god profile, but it's one weakness is that it is a relatively common one. You are going to have tons and tons of people (and Chinese people) from the Big 4 applying to B-school in the US, and in order to stand out it is important that you offer them something unique, original, and passionate about yourself. Meaning in your application, you have to show how you are both: stronger than other candidates, and more diverse. It can be with extra curricular activities, community service, hobbies, sports, entrepreneurial ventures.... but the important thing is to show that you are you.

It's true about the salaries. And as for school selection - any top 20 school should be good, and that will depend on your GMAT as much as your application.

Thank you very much, Jon. to be honest, what bothers me most is how to be unique. your suggestions are very enlightening, especially "to be more diverse with extra...". i do have some community service experience, like serving in a nursing home at least 15 days a year since i turned 18. but is that really matter when i apply for an mba？

lz，你的priority还是不是很清晰，到底是留美优先还是consulting优先，这个优先级是完全取决于收入么。美国MBB很难进的，M7/S16的区分在这一点上影响没有那么大，主要障碍是语言沟通。国内的MBB基本是global pay的，考虑到国内外生活成本的差异，回国可支配收入不一定低。

非常感谢！是这样的，我的priority是留美优先，如果有多种职业选择的前提下会con first。有个朋友是清华本科+ucla硕士，毕业后去的麦肯锡，据她反应是30w年薪，本科非清北复交还是很难的，这样看下来，美国的mbb跟中国的都是非常难。所以还是优先考虑留美。

...MBA和硕士不是一个招聘项目...国内MBB的MBA项目package应该在80-100w..的确是看本科的，不过我见过很多非这四所学校的。国内其他有MBA项目的公司基本也能给到60-80w的package的。

只是想留美的话，只要S16都不难的，现在主要是看工作签证的政策会怎么变。

谢谢楼主的信息！没想到国内的package也给到这么高了。签证政策到时候看吧，还不知道是喜是忧。

Hey there!
Don’t let it bother you too much. It’s of course hard to build a good story about how you are unique, but a lot of it is hard work and good ideas. It’s part of the reason why writing the applications are soooo tough. But don’t worry about it. Just work the essays again and again. And if you need help, get it!
