Hey there,
I can understand why you want to go to Stanford, my friend. It is one of the best schools... in the world! And I'm glad you're asking me these questions because it is also the most competitive school in the world, and if you want to get in... it's going to take some WORK. Based on what you've told me so far, you've got some challenges: you're on the older side for US MBA programs (especially Stanford, which recruits younger students), and it sounds like you've got a low GPA. But you've also got some good stuff going for you: leadership, work experience, maybe even some international experience? The first thing we need to do is get that GMAT score. And it's gotta be high for a school like Stanford. Even more since your GPA is low. I'm talking 740+ at minimum. Then we need to dig deep into your profile and figure out what other gaps may exist so we can use the next 6-8 months to really strengthen them and give you the strongest possible profile when you apply. And then the last thing we need to do? Find some other schools to add to your list You say you want Stanford, but the reasons you list for wanting to go there are things you can get at SO many MBA programs. So let's give you the best shot at getting in and expand that list, add some more schools that can also be AMAZING for you...and get you into bschool! I'd love to help, so send me more Qs or ping me on We Chat.
Best,
Jon Frank |
